Because the trailer was unintentionally shared early, we got a sneak peek at Starfield today. The trailer is now out, courtesy of the Microsoft and Bethesda E3 display. Check it out in the video above.
Starfield will be released on November 11, 2022, according to the trailer. It’s also a Microsoft exclusive (and PC, we can definitely assume). It will be included in Xbox Game Pass from the start.
Unfortunately, the clip is cinematic and does not feature gameplay, although we do see an astronaut jumping into a spaceship. “What you’ve discovered is the key to unlocking… everything,” a voiceover adds, adding “We’ve arrived at the start of humanity’s last voyage.” At the end of the trailer, the spacecraft takes off.
“Starfield is our first new universe in more than 25 years,” Todd Howard stated. “It’s a game we’ve always wanted to play. We don’t have the hardware, technology, or expertise to push our creative boundaries any farther.”
According to Howard, the plot revolves around “the final bunch of space explorers.” “It’s a next-generation roleplaying game in which you may be anybody you want, go wherever you want, experience our tales, and create your own.”
