Mundfish has released a new gravity-defying trailer for its Soviet-era FPS Atomic Heart, and it looks insane.
There’s a lot to absorb here, including violent robots, tampering with space laws, and a very threatening-looking grandma who appears like she’s going to beat you with a soup ladle.
It’s still unclear exactly what Atomic Heart is, and each teaser seems to be wilder than the previous. It’s clearly building out to be a curious combination between a Soviet-themed Bioshock Infinite and one of the more bizarre episodes of Black Mirror, which the developers have actually credited as an influence.
It also appears like most of the navigation, debris-clearing, and puzzle solving in Atomic Heart is done using a glove, which appears to be capable of defying gravity, hacking electronics, and providing a delightful shock to those robots out to murder you. The footage is as wild as it gets, and I’m here for it.
Atomic Heart’s release date remains unknown, with a TBA on Steam. It is, however, a ‘Day One’ for Xbox Game Pass, which presumably suggests Game Pass on PC will receive the same treatment on launch day as well.
