Life is Strange: True Colors demonstrates the mystical power of empathy.

Life is Strange: True Colors, the greatest realization of the series’ concepts, is a game in which tumultuous adolescent feelings are literally the superpower. But, in practice, how does heightened empathy work?

During Square Enix’s E3 presentation, Deck Nine Games provided us a demonstration. Locals experiencing exceptionally heightened emotions may shine with a brilliant aura at points throughout their investigations across Haven Springs, culminating in a “nova” of sentiments. In this state, the environment has been completely changed, leaving Alex with suggestions as to what may be generating the emotional outburst.

However, in a highly intense moment, Alex has the ability to completely erase a feeling from a person. We observe a situation in which an artist is so filled with wrath that she exhibits suicide ideas, while Alex evaluates the consequences of channeling her passion into herself in order to save this stranger from harm.

On September 10th, Life is Strange: True Colors will be available on Steam and Stadia. As an added bonus, the Ultimate version of True Colors includes a full remaster of the original Life Is Strange and LIS: Before the Storm, with Square’s webcast providing our first glimpse at the graphic improvements coming to those titles.
