Killing Floor 2 is going to the moon.

Killing Floor 2 is on its way to the moon! Interstellar Insanity, a new event announced today at the PC Gaming Show, transports players to a faraway lunar research station to discover why it has suddenly gone silent.

The bad news is that you already know why the station is no longer broadcasting: Zombies! Or, as they’re referred to in Killing Floor 2, Zeds. If you want to be technical, it’s Specimens. The good news is that the event will include two new weekly breakouts, Scavenger and Arachnophobia, which will reportedly make cleaning up this face-eating disaster more difficult than your typical moon base zombie apocalypse. So it’s possible that’s not exactly a positive thing.

The good news is that a pair of new Horzine Research Group weapons—the HRG Bastion and HRG Blast Brawlers—were being developed aboard the station, and since you’re already there, you’ll be able to try them out. All of the action will take place on the new Moonbase map, which will include low gravity throughout. Proceed with care.

On June 22, Killing Floor 2: Interstellar Insanity will be released. More information may be found at killingfloor2.com.
