Tinykin can solve all of your issues by hurling pocket-sized aliens at them.

Tinykin, a new sci-fi platformer adventure, was revealed by tinyBuild at this year’s PC Gaming Show. It’s the year 2748, and you play as Milo, a young scientist who has rediscovered Earth. Milo travels to the planet only to realize that he has shrunk to the size of a thimble.

It’s a case of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, and Milo must find out not only how to return to normal size, but also how to return to his home. Milo, a little astronaut exploring a large home, can jumbo, hover, and grind, but he also gets assistance from the tinykin, a mysterious alien life form that follows him about.

The dynamics of the tinykin animals are similar to those of pikmin. Chuck your tinykin and they’ll do things like move heavy items, create a bridge, or stand on top of each other to construct a ladder for you. You’ll use your little alien army to solve puzzles and make your way across this vast globe. It’s cute how they all clap when you finish a task.

The aesthetics are a combination of 2D and 3D, and the open-world looks fantastic. There’s a scene in the video where you can leap through a hole in a guitar to find a bug bar concealed within, and maybe there will be more surprises hiding in the nooks and crannies of this massive universe.

Tinykin will be released on PC in 2022, but in the meantime, you can watch the PC Gaming Show exclusive video above.
