Godfall is coming to PS4 soon

Godfall for PS4 has been ranked by the UK ratings board PEGI as a PS5-console-exclusive title.

Although the game has not yet been revealed for PS4, Sony has already reported that Godfall will remain a PS5 console exclusive until May 21, 2021, which may give us an idea of when the game will be released on PS4.

The game’s rating hasn’t changed between the PS5 and PS4, with PEGI maintaining the latter will still be rated as unsuitable for players under the age of 16, and describing it as an “action role-playing game in which the player takes on the role of the last of the Valorian knights who must journey through different realms to avert a catastrophic occurrence.”

The game’s “depictions of realistic brutality against human-like beings” was cited as the reason for the 16+ ranking.

Interestingly, the PEGI site made no mention of similar plans to port it to Xbox controllers, despite the fact that it is already available on PC.

Gearbox’s looter-slasher was one of the first PS5 games publicly revealed, the first actual PS5 game manufactured, and one of the first games we played as a PS5 launch title. Despite being so closely aligned with the PS5, it was launched at the same time on PC, and it appears that it would finally make its way to Microsoft’s rival next-gen console. We recently heard how Godfall makes use of the PS5 DualSense controller, haptics, and the lightning-fast SSD, so it will be fun to see how it compares on Xbox Series X.

Although some PS5 titles are cross-generational PlayStation exclusives, others, such as Godfall, are on timed exclusivity deals pending availability on other console families, and even some are genuine next-generation PS5 exclusives. One such example is Demon’s Souls, and we recently heard that Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart would bypass current-gen and launch exclusively on PS5.
