Among Us is receiving a hide and seek feature, new roles, and a slew of other updates.

Among Us is already a huge hit, but creator Inner Sloth is only starting started. During Summer Game Fest, Inner Sloth presented a new trailer/roadmap previewing a slew of new game features.

The most notable (and most thrilling) addition is a brand-new hide and seek mode, which is played on conventional maps but requires players to hide while another hunts for them. That could be a lot of fun and ridiculous. A new post, the Sheriff, is also on the way. It’s unclear how this new function will fit into the present dynamic of crewmates and imposters, but I imagine sheriffs will be able to murder imposters directly if they observe them being shady, rather than relying on democracy to uncover the bad people. There’s also a new map, new aesthetics, and a new achievement system. That’s a lot!

More information about the roadmap may be seen in the trailer above.
