Dead by Daylight will be introducing new styles for its human Stranger Things avatars, including the ability to change one character into another. Yes, Steve Harrington is being replaced with Jonathan Byers; watch the clip above to see it in action.
Crossovers are nothing new in Dead by Daylight. The game includes a vast range of properties in addition to a slew of unique characters. Fans of most things remotely linked to horror will most likely find something to their liking among the enormous array of licensed characters available in the game. Stranger Things is one such property, which was introduced to the game in 2019. Surprisingly, the DLC is getting an update with some new material as part of the Moments of Truth collection.
Surprisingly, one of the skins completely transforms one of the characters. While Nancy Wheeler has a distinct new appearance, Steve Harrington does not. In fact, he’s unrecognizable since his new skin transforms him into Jonathan Byers from the sitcom. It’s important to note that this solely affects the character’s look. He will continue to play in the same manner as Steve Harrington.
These are now accessible in-game for the game’s currency, Auric Cells.
Nancy’s Impulsive Activist Outfit costs 1,080 Auric Cells, and the Jonathan Byers Legendary Set for Steve Harrington costs 1,485 Auric Cells.
If Stranger Things isn’t your thing, the Dead by Daylight developers just revealed that Resident Evil will be making an appearance in the game. Three of the franchise’s most recognizable faces will be joining the bloody fun, as revealed last week. Jill, Leon, and Nemesis will all be available as part of the game’s new DLC on June 15, 2021.
If Stranger Things and Resident Evil aren’t your things, you can always check at the game’s plethora of other licensed titles. Halloween, Saw, Silent Hill, Evil Dead Nightmare on Elm Street, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre are all represented here.
