If you haven’t yet played Doki Doki Literature Club, there’s no getting around the fact that it isn’t the adorable visual novel about dating that it looks to be on the surface. It’s a gory horror game.
Doki Doki Literature Club Plus, which was announced during IGN’s pre-E3 presentation, is a rerelease of the game featuring additional side tales, HD graphics, over 12 new music tracks, and over 100 unlocked photos. That’s according to the teaser shown at IGN’s presentation, which emphasizes the game’s pleasant facade and horrific underlying nature.
Doki Doki Literature Club Plus will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store on June 30. (and consoles). A packaged version will also be available this summer. The trailer is posted above, and further information can be found at ddlc.plus.
