Techland announced today that Dying Light is crossing over with Facepunch Studio’s Rust and getting some free limited-time weapons, enemies, and challenges.
The crossover event is now on PC and runs until 10:00 PT / 1:00 ET / 5:00 GMT on Monday 26 April. Right now, just log into Dying Light, you can get the thematic Rust pack, buggy skins, an assault gun and customised SMG, and a rescued cleaver.
While the Rust pack will make sure that you are ready for the challenge, robbers and zombies in slums and the Old Town are expected to increase. Two new adversary styles you want to look out for: rust forward researchers carry assault rifles and SMGs and a new hat bucket. It’s a risky planet, but you can get unique incentives through survival and testing prizes.
In particular, gold blueprint updates can be obtained for a new threaded weapon by gathering resources and completing testing bounties during the case. It also allows you to co-operate with mates, chase airdrops, attack two new outposts and destroy bandits to gain access to the C4 dockets of Gold fire, Gold freezes and Gold Poison.
It should be said that Techland has just announced the launch time for the PC and it is still uncertain if the event even comes with Dying Light’s PS4/Xbox One models. If we hear back, we enter the studio for comment and update this post.
