Far Cry 6 release on October 7

The release date for Far Cry 6 has been set on October 7, 2021.

The newest installment in Ubisoft’s long-running franchise was unveiled earlier today during a special presentation by the company. Far Cry 6 will be released later this year in October, and it will be available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Google Stadia, and even Amazon Luna.

Along with the release date for Ubisoft’s upcoming game, a presentation describing Far Cry 6’s gameplay and Ubisoft characters were shown. Ubisoft put Giancarlo Esposito’s wicked Anton Castillo front and center of the event, as you might expect after courting Hollywood star power for their game, hyping him up as a terrifying adversary we’ll be facing later this year.

In far of Far Cry 6 gameplay revelations, it’s largely what you’d expect from the latest installment in Ubisoft’s tumultuous franchise. The action and gunplay are quick and loose, with the player able to take on opposing forces working for Anton using trucks, heavy weaponry, and even vicious animal friends.

Far Cry 6 will undoubtedly be one of the most anticipated games of the holiday season when it is released in October for nearly every platform. More on what to anticipate from Ubisoft’s new game can be found in our Far Cry 6 preview, where we can see what this new shooter has in store for us.
