Who’s up for some witchcraft? I expect everyone, especially if it’s adorable witchery. Witchery Academy is a forthcoming life sim by Cubenary in which your trainee wizard and equally lovely cat spirit attend wizard school to gain crucial wizardy abilities. Growing magical vegetables, casting spells, caring for and catching spell animals, and preparing potions are all examples of skills. During the Wholesome Games Direct, we got to see more of it in action. Watch the trailer above.
Of course, because it’s a life sim, there are objects to own and decorate, as well as a cast of personalities to meet. Making relationships with other students and academy personnel is an important aspect of the game. You’ll also fish, forage, and cook as you explore the world beyond the school.
Cubenary claims that there is a primary tale to this as too, about exploring and confronting a strange curse in the dark corners of the otherwise wholesome and comfortable environment.
