Though it may not be technically capable of competing with the top games of the century, the art, visuals, music, sound effects, voice acting, and other elements are very impressive and make NieR Replicant stand out. It’s one of the reasons fans fell in love with the game years ago and created NieR artwork in the run-up to its release.
The release of NieR Replicant comes at an ideal time, as NieR Automata has recently reached a significant distribution milestone. The Square Enix action-RPG sold 5.5 million copies in its first four years, which is a very remarkable figure. The series will most likely continue to expand on NieR Automata’s success and the numbers that NieR Replicant will have. If the ratings are any indication, players may like the game, and new fans will be attracted. The remaster is currently only available on previous generation consoles (PS4 and Xbox One), as well as PC. However, it is possible that the game will make its way to next-generation technology in the near future.
