I wasn’t expecting Captain Jack Sparrow to appear at the Xbox and Bethesda Games event, but here we are. The rebellious pirate from the Pirates of the Caribbean films will be included in the next major update to Sea of Thieves.
In Sea of Thieves: A Pirate’s Life, you and your motley crew will embark on a new journey filled with mysteries and sidequests. Along with your new crewmate, you’ll be battling fierce mermaids—wait, are mermaids ever cruel?—and hordes of creepy undead pirates.
Not only will Jack emerge, but so will Davey Jones, complete with tentacle beard. Oh, and Gibbs, if you recall him from the movies, is also present (probably not).
On June 22, you’ll be able to explore the perilous seas and listen to all of Jack’s amazingly witty banter.
