Steam’s semi-annual Game Festival, renamed as Steam Next, kicks off today. It runs through June 22nd and includes a massive quantity of free trials (the official total started at 560, but games continued being added, and Valve’s newest press release boasts of “over 700 demos”), as well as a slew of trailers and developer livestreams. The official page may be found here.
Valve has at least created some highlight reels that put the games together by genre, so if you have a specific interest in RPGs, strategy games, or whatever, you can take a quick look (the below example is Adventure games).

Here are 14 of the greatest and most fascinating demos available, including the stunning Sable, a road trip trucking adventure, and a roguelike that, for some reason, stars an evil Mary Shelley.
