In The Forgotten City, you journey 2,000 years back in time to discover what happened to take out an entire Roman city. A time loop will assist you in solving the mystery by allowing you to experience the city’s final day while you explore. The city is cursed, and if even one of its citizens sins, everyone perishes. Before you can figure out what occurred, you’ll need to explore, chat to residents, solve riddles, and even participate in warfare.
Don’t worry if this seems familiar; you’re not trapped in your own time loop. The Forgotten City has been there for quite some time. Originally a free Skyrim mod, it’s been in production as a standalone game for a few years now, initially unveiled at The PC Gaming Show in 2018 and set to release in 2019, then 2020. The delays were caused by the developer’s desire to broaden the scope of the quest and shift the setting from Tamriel to a stunningly recreated Rome.
The good news for mystery fans is that it’s almost time to start your inquiry. The Forgotten City will be released on July 28th.
