There will be no DLC or microtransactions in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, announced during Square Enix’s E3 press conference, is a new game that, unlike the current Avengers game by Crystal Dynamics, will be single-player and will not feature DLC or microtransactions, according to Eidos-Montréal. However, there will be a few unlocked outfits.

Guardians of the Galaxy, on the other hand, will be a primarily narrative experience designed to offer you a true Marvel experience as you remember it from the films—snarky banter between the Guardians, moments of startling honesty when supposedly friendship triumphs overall. The presentation from Square Enix’s exhibition makes it apparent that there will be a lot of banter.

“When we first sat down, we were just looking at what we liked to do.” According to senior creative director Jean-François Dugas, who was mentioned in Fraser’s preview. “What are our franchise’s strengths? How can we put our own twist on this?”

It may take some getting accustomed to the reality that this Starlord—the game’s lone playable character—doesn’t resemble Chris Pratt, the actor we’ve come to identify with the part. Groot, on the other hand, looks like Groot, while Rocket is still a raccoon with magnificent fur. The release date for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is October 26.
