12 Minutes, the much anticipated “interactive thriller” made by lone developer Luis Antonio and distributed by Annapurna Interactive, previously received a lengthier presentation at the Tribeca Games Spotlight, and we finally got the release date at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase: 12 Minutes will be released on August 19 and will be accessible on Xbox Game Pass from the start.
Aside from the fact that it’s a time-loop mystery told entirely from the top-down, 12 Minutes is notable for its cast—Star Wars actress Daisy Ridley and James McAvoy (X-Men) play a married couple who are subjected to a home invasion, and Willem Dafoe plays the policeman who further disrupts their lives.
